Alejandro Aranda, also known as Scarypoolparty, is an American musician, singer, runner-up on the winner of the seventeenth season of American Idol. He is a reality television personality from Pomona, California. Aranda was born on August 11, 1994. At the age of 20, he began playing guitar and singing in the street, under the stage name Scarypoolparty. California State University and Five of Five Entertainment hosted the annual talent contest in 2017 in which he was selected as Artist Of The Year.
During the auditions of American Idol 2019, he impressed the judges by singing his song Out Loud. He sang his version of Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” on March 26, 2019, and impressed the judges once again. American Idol declared his audition as one of the best auditions. May 19, 2019, is declared as Alejandro Aranda Day by Pomona.
After signing with Hollywood Records, he released his single "Tonight" on June 28, 2019. Some of his other hit singles are Out Loud (2018), Fading Away (2018), 10 Years (2018), Cholo Love (2019), and Diamonds (2019).
He revealed plans for a fall tour on June 24, 2018, that includes 30 shows across the nation. Because of the enormous support, he announced in June 2019 that he would perform a free concert on July 3 in Nashville.
Currently, he is headlining a tour, “twenty-eight stop tour” that started on October 10 and will continue till November 21. Recently in 2019, he gave his live performance at Lollapalooza in August, Life Is Beautiful in September and Austin City Limits Music Festival in October.
