Abby Anderson Information
Abby Anderson (March 10, 1997) is an American country music singer and songwriter. She was born in Southlake, Texas. Anderson moved to Nashville at 17 and, in addition to working as a nanny, performed at local hotspots, including the Bluebird Cafe, the Listening Room Cafe, and Tin Roof. Anderson signed a publishing and record agreement with Black River Entertainment at a benefit concert at the Ryman Auditorium in 2017.
Black River Records released her debut single, "This Feeling," in September of that year. CMT Listen Up included her on their "18 for 2018" list, and Pandora named her a Country Artist to Watch for 2018. Along with Ashley McBryde and Kassi Ashton, she was inducted into CMT's Next Women of Country Class of 2018.
Anderson, Tom Douglas, and Josh Kerr all contributed to the writing of her April 2018 song, "Make Him Wait. The dating advice her parents gave her sparked the song that has been listened to over 4 million times on Spotify. Chris Hicky created the music video for this song, premised on CMT in September 2018. Anderson's first EP, "I'm Good," featured five tracks and was published by Black River Records on September 7, 2018.
