James Aaron Watson (August 20, 1977) is an American singer and songwriter who specializes in country music. Active since 1999, Watson has put numerous solo albums over his career. While in college in New Mexico, the guitarist picked up the instrument and decided to pursue music as his vocation at this same period. In 1999, he debuted with Aaron Watson—Singers and Songwriters; a year later, Texas Cafe.
Over the following ten years, he consistently released albums, with support from musicians like Ray Benson and Willie Nelson, producing many of them. His eighth album, Angels & Outlaws, peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and arrived on the Billboard 200. Its smash tune, "Hearts Are Breaking Across Texas," topped the Texas Music Chart.
Throughout his career, Watson has published fifteen albums, the most recent one being released in 2019. He is one of the most well-known country singers of our day and age because many of his albums have achieved high positions on the country charts.
