Aaron Lee Tasjan Information
Aaron Lee Tasjan (August 24, 1986) is an American record producer, guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He was born in Wilmington, Delaware, but his family moved to San Juan Capistrano, California, when he was ten years old. Tasjan grew up in New Albany, Ohio, situated half an hour northeast of Columbus, Ohio. He performed with Peter Yarrow when he was 16 years old. He also received the Outstanding Guitarist Award in the Essentially Ellington Competition at Jazz at Lincoln Center, New York City.
Berklee College of Music offered Tasjan a full scholarship after he graduated from New Albany High School. In 2006, he decided to move to Brooklyn, New York. Kevn Kinney saw Tasjan performing and invited him to open an act and play guitar for him. He formed his band in 2008 named, The Madison Square Gardeners. On October 6, 2015, Tasjan released his debut full-length album entitled, In the Blazes. On October 28, 2016, he released his next album, Silver Tears.
Tasjan released a 7” with Lilly Hiatt through Third Man Records of Jack White. His other releases include Karma for Cheap (2018), Karma for Cheap: Reincarnated (2019), and Tasjan! Tasjan! Tasjan! (2021).
