Aaron Goodvin Information
Aaron Goodvin is an American-Canadian country music singer who was born in Spirit River, Alberta. He started taking an interest in music after winning a singing competition at a local shopping mall. At that time, he was only 12. When Goodvin was a teenager, his family had moved to St. Alberta, Alberta. Soon he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, at 25, to pursue his country music career. Goodvin began performing at local venues initially and signed a songwriting contract with Warner Chappell Music. The record deal eventually led Goodvin to write the track entitled “Out Like That,” which was included on the 2013 album of Luke Bryan named Crash My Party.
Goodvin spent valuable time under the mentorship of Scottish-Canadian country singer Johnny Reid. He also hired Goodvin as an opening act. In April 2016, he signed a record deal with Warner Music Canada. His self-titled debut album was released on the label in 2016 that accounted for three entries on the Billboard Canada Country charts. The album’s single “Lonely Drum” was certified platinum by Music Canada. Goodvin also received a nomination for Songwriter of the Year at the Canadian Country Music Awards.
Aaron Goodvin released his second album entitled “V” in 2019. This included singles “Bars and Churches” and “You Are.” The album received a Juno Award nomination at the Juno Awards of 2020 for “Country Album of the Year.” Some of his notable hit singles are “Good Ol’ Bad Days” and “Every Time You Take Your Time.”
