DCU Center Tickets Information
The DCU center was initially known as the Centrum in the Worcester and formerly known as Worcester’s Centrum Center (commonly Worcester Centrum). This place is located at 50 Foster Street, Worcester, Massachusetts. It is an indoor arena as well as a convention center complex with a seating capacity of 14,800 for concerts, 13,000 for basketball, and 12,239 for hockey.
The DCU Center is under the ownership of the city of Worcester while it is operated by SMG. The venue was opened to the general public on 10th December 1977. It underwent renovations in the year 2009, 2012, and 2013 while the site was expanded in 1997. The architecture of the center was designed by FDC, Inc. the faculty is the most stable one among the SMG’s assets.
The DCU Center serves home to Worcester Railers (ECHL) and Massachusetts Pirates (NAL). It hosts various events throughout the year, such as concerts, sports, family shows, trade-shows, meetings, conventions, etc. The first event that took place at the inauguration ceremony of the arena was a concert by Frank Sinatra.
The arena has been hosting the Boston Celtics, few indoor football games, college basketball and ice hockey games, professional bull riding, Stars on Ice, Monster Trucks, Disney on Ice, The Wiggles, some political events, etc. It also hosted the greatest two nights stand (considered by the fans) by the Dave Matthews Band (1998). There are 16 concerts of the band Phis that were hosted here along with their very first concert that was performed on the Centrum’s stage decorated as an aquarium. The site also played host to Boston natives Aerosmith, WCW Slamboree, along with several other WWE events.
