Steve Burton Information
Jack Stephen Burton is an actor best known for his depiction of Jason Morgan in General Hospital. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. Burton is well-recognized for voicing the character Cloud Strife in a wide range of Square Enix products, including Kingdom Hearts and the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children series. Burton returned to his role of Morgan to General Hospital under the alias of “Patient 6”.
Burton got his first breakthrough in 1987 when he played the character of a young surfer boy named Chris Fuller on Out of This World. He also appeared as Harris Michaels on Days of Our Lives in 1988. Burton studied acting in Hollywood, California, in the 1990s. Chris Aable and Jon Cedar coached him during this time. For his performance as Jason Morgan on the General Hospital, Burton won a Daytime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
In 2001, Burton appeared in the miniseries based on science fiction, Taken, and The Last Castle. He played with James Gandolfini and Robert Redford. The confirmation of Burton leaving General Hospital came out on August 28, 2012. Soon after, he joined the cast of “The Young and the Restless” as Dylan McAvoy on January 29, 2013.
Burton has worked in many hit films, including Semper Fi (2001), Cyber-Tracker (1994), Cyber-Tracker 2 (1995), and Red Sun Rising (1994). Some of his television performances include The Young and the Restless (2013-2017) and Secret Bodyguard (1991).
