Horton's high-energy brand of comedy has gained him the respect of his peers, and his unique, energetic stage acts have won him followers from Philadelphia to international audiences worldwide. Horton, who was born in Brooklyn but reared in Philadelphia, originally intended to play basketball professionally but was strongly encouraged to pursue a career in comedy by his college drama professor because of his acting abilities and comedic appeal.
In 2001, Horton's humor passion was rekindled when a buddy dared him to perform at the Laff House Comedy Club in South Philadelphia. Six months after beginning his career as a comedian, Horton made his network debut on BET's Comic View in 2002. Since then, he has become one of the most popular and successful college and comedy club performers, having performed at more than 100 campuses and in nations worldwide.
Beginning with Kevin Hart's I'm Grown Little Man tour and continuing through the Seriously Funny tour, Laugh at My Pain tour, Let Me Explain tour, and What Now tour, he was the opening act, and his career took off. Horton also appeared in a supporting role in the successful concert film that followed, Laugh At My Pain Tour. Ride Along (Universal) and WILD N' OUT (MTV) are only two of her other film and TV credits.
