Alexander Hedges Steinberg is a pretty well known American Drag Queen and a very much established artist who goes by her stage name of Sasha Velour. She is of Russian-Jewish descent who was born in June 1987; her family did a lot of moving through the States, she was born in Berkeley, but later she moved and stayed in Connecticut until she was nine and then again moved to Illinois and completed her studies from there. After that, she went to Russia St. Petersburg as a part-time security guard and thereafter interned in Staatsoper, state Opera in Berlin, Germany. Before taking up Drag as her full-time career, she acquired B.A. from Vassar College and received MFA in cartooning in the year 2013.
This drag race queen is a well known for being an out of the box artist and is a star in the Drag Racing industry of America, she has won multiple drag racing titles including RuPaul’s Drag Race season 9. Other than these accolades, Velour has starred in a lot of successful and popular music videos, also had four television show appearances and roles, and has a significant role in the TV series, Untucked.
