The U.S. reality competition series RuPaul's Drag Race airs on the NBC television network. World of Wonder produced it for Logo TV (seasons 1-8), WOW Presents Plus (seasons 9-14), VH1 (seasons 15+), and MTV (seasons 16+). Follow along as RuPaul scours the country for "America's next drag superstar" in this reality show! Each episode features a new challenge for the candidates, with RuPaul serving as host, mentor, and chief judge.
The contestants' performances throughout the competition are evaluated by a panel of RuPaul, Michelle Visage, an alternating third main judge (Carson Kressley, Ross Mathews, or Ts Madison), and one or more guest judges. The show's title is a pun on drag queen and drag racing, and the theme tune and opening credits are also based on the concept of drag racing. The auditions for Season 14 started on November 23 of that year. VH1 confirmed the renewal for a fourteenth season in August of 2021.
The fourteenth season's cast was announced on VH1 on December 2, 2021, and on January 7, 2022, the season premiered on television. The first episode of Season 15 debuted on MTV on January 6, 2023. Sixteen queens are participating this season, the most ever for the competition, and the greatest cash prize in the show's history of $200,000.
