Paw Patrol Live is a live show for kids which is based on the Nickelodeon-hit animated series called PAW Patrol, produced by Spin Master Entertainment. It is a Canadian show that made its US debut on August 12, 2013, and has over 182 episodes. The storyline of the show revolves around a young boy named Ryder who leads a crew of intelligent search and rescue dogs, and they call themselves the PAW Patrol. Together they work on missions to protect the fictional place Adventure Bay, a shore-side community. Each of the dogs in Ryder’s PAW Patrol has specific skills that come in handy in several emergency services. One is a firefighter, one a police officer, and the other an aviation pilot. They stay in doghouses that change into customized vehicles to take them, to their missions.
They have backpacks called “pup packs” that contain tools related to their mission or jobs. The shows, and their associated products, have received various awards and nominations from associations in the television community.
In 2014, the theme song for the series was nominated for Outstanding Original Song Main Title and Promo in the 41st Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards. They won the 8th and 9th Candian Screen Awards (2020-21) in the category of best Preschool series. As of 2022, PAW Patrol has received twenty-two Canadian Screen Award nominations with seventh wins.
