New York Comic Con Information
Annually held in the Big Apple, New York Comic Con celebrates all things pop culture, including but not limited to Western comics and graphic novels, anime and manga, video games, cosplay, toys, films, and television. To begin with, it happened in 2006. It is the largest fan convention in North America, with an expected 200 thousand attendees in 2022. Convention history began at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in 2006.
Since RX had never organized a comic convention before 2006 (they usually dealt with professional trade exhibitions), they were unprepared for the overwhelming response. The main exhibition hall could only hold 10,000 people. The dates of October 8-11, 2020, were initially set for the convention's show. However, the event's organizers had to cancel the live event in August due to the pandemic.
Instead, on those dates, a virtual convention dubbed "New York Comic Con X MCM Comic Con Metaverse" was held. On October 7-10, 2021, New York Comic Con returned to the Javits Center for its annual live event. All guests aged 12 and up required proof of vaccination, and a negative coronavirus test result was required for all attendees aged 12 and younger.
