Lisa Lampanelli is an American stand-up comedian, insult comic, and actress. She was born Lisa Marie Lampugnale. Her material is racy that features ethnic humor. Also, Lampanelli keeps the focus of her material on various types of minority groups, most notably the LGBT community racial minorities. She started her stand-up career in the early 1990s in New York. In 2002, Lampanelli got a breakthrough at the New York Friars’ Club roast of Chevy Chase. She also participated in the roasts of Donald Trump, David Hasselhoff, William Shatner, Flavor Flav, Jeff Foxworthy, Pamela Anderson, and Denis Leary. She has also served as Roastmaster for Larry the Cable Guy.
In 2005, Lampanelli released a comedy special on DVD entitled, Take It Like A Man. She also appeared in the famous motion picture in 2006 named Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector. She tapped her first one-hour HBO Special at the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts on November 21, 2008. On January 31, 2009, another special entitled Lisa Lampanelli: Long Live the Queen was aired, directed by Dave Higby. She headlined at a huge charity gala in NYC known as Night of a Thousand Gowns in May 2012.
Lisa Lampanelli is also known for her appearance as a contestant on The Celebrity Apprentice 5. There she had several outbursts and clashes with other contestants as well as got severely criticized by viewers. She left stand-up comedy after announcing on October 30, 2018, during The Howard Stern Show. She left her passion for pursuing her career as a life coach.
