Annette Leslie Jones (September 7, 1967) is an American actress and stand-up comedian. She presented the ABC game program Supermarket Sweep and was a writer and cast member on Saturday Night Live, an NBC sketch comedy series, from 2014 to 2019. Her performances have been included in the Aspen Comedy Festival and Montreal's Just for Laughs. Her 2010 Showtime comedy special, Problem Child, ran for an hour. Ghostbusters (2016) stars Jones as Patty Tolan.
After seeing her perform in 2012, Chris Rock recommended her to multiple "the biggest managers in comedy" who "didn't get it." Her career took off afterward. Jones won an audition for Saturday Night Live the year after Rock helped her get it. Jones joined Katt Williams on her 2008 tour, It's Pimpin' Pimpin'. Jones is set to release a stand-up special on Netflix in 2020. Coming 2 America included Jones, Tracy Morgan, Rick Ross, and KiKi Layne, among others. Eddie Murphy stars in the follow-up to Coming to America.
Leo Burnett Worldwide's 2016 Allstate Insurance ad campaign featured Jones and fellow comedian Adam DeVine. On June 25, 2017, Jones presided over the BET Awards. This was her first appearance as a host. Two of Amazon's Echo Spot ads featured Jones in 2018. Jones was the host of the 2020 revival of Supermarket Sweep. Her second season return was in 2021. Jones hosted the MTV Movie & TV Awards in 2021.
