Kate Del Castillo (October 23, 1972) is a Mexican-American actress. She was born in Mexico City, the daughter of the soap opera actor himself and a legend of the Mexican Cinema. She has two siblings, a half brother, and a sister. She debuted as an actor when she took part in a film called “The Last Escape.” In 1991, she became well-known as she got starred in the “Muchachitas” as Leticia. She appeared in a music video “Fuego de Noche, Nieve de Dia” in 1995.
Kate Del Castillo was named one of the “Stars of the Year” in November 2007 and one of the “50 Most Beautiful” along with “25 most influential women” in 2011 by a magazine called “People en Espanol.” Her first role in any Hollywood film ever was when she starred in the film “Bordertown” in 2006. She has also starred in the film “La Reina del Sur” as Teresa “La Mexicana” Mendoza in the year 2011. The role in the film brought her major fame across Latin America. She launched “Honor del Castillo” on November 20, 2015, that was a tequila brand, formed in association with Vivanco Family. She also serves as a spokesperson for “Honor Del Castillo.”
Castillo has appeared in several films so far. A few of them are American Visa (2005), Lime Salted Love (2006), The Black Pimpernel (2007), La misma luna (2007), Julia (2008), Bad Guys (2008), Down For Life (2009), A Miracle in Spanish Harlem (2013), No Good Deed (2014), and many other films.
