Justin Roberts Information
Justin Roberts (December 29, 1979) is an American professional ring announcer. He is currently signed to AEW, born in Chicago, Illinois. After meeting Kerry Von Erich and The Ultimate Warrior in a Wisconsin hotel, Roberts was hooked on professional wrestling after watching an episode of Saturday Night's Main Event. Because of everything that happened, Roberts is now a huge wrestling fan. He even took refereeing classes to rub elbows with his hero, Curt Hennig.
At 16, Roberts announced his first professional wrestling match for the local promotion Pro Wrestling International in November 1996. Roberts worked for independent promotions like the All Pro Wrestling, American Wrestling Alliance, and Impact Zone Wrestling from 1998 to 2002 while he studied Media Arts and Communications at the University of Arizona.
He also promoted the Toughman Competition at this time. All Elite Wrestling (AEW) hired Roberts (aka "The Dapper Yapper") on April 3, 2019, to serve as the company's primary ring announcer. Graves and The Messengers both feature Roberts in supporting roles. The Guardian, Stuart Saves His Family, and Soul Food are a few films in which he has appeared as an actor.
