JB Smoove Information
Jerry Angelo Brooks (December 16, 1965) is an American writer, actor, voice actor, and comedian from Plymouth, North Carolina. He is also known as J. B. Smoove. He grew up in Mount Vernon, New York, from the age of three. Smoove graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1983. Later, he went to Norfolk State University in Virginia and studied graphic design and engineering.
Smoove began his career in 1995 with his appearance on Def Comedy Jam. It was followed by his writing and performance on NBC's Saturday Night Live. Smoove may be best known for his role in Curb Your Enthusiasm by HBO. He also had a notable role on the Fox network sitcom 'Til Death. Some of his other appearances in television shows include Ego Trip's Race-O-Rama, The Gong Show with Dave Attell, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, America's Next Top Model, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, In the Flow with Affion Crockett, JB Smoove: That's How I Dooz It, and Watch What Happens: Live.
Smoove also worked in many hit films such as Tomorrow Night, With or Without You, The Watermelon Heist, We Bought a Zoo, Dealin' with Idiots, Barbershop: The Next Cut, and Spider-Man: Far From Home. Smoove provides Dr. Ray De Angelo Harris's voice on the video game Grand Theft Auto V. He also voiced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Portal Power game in 2016.
