Dusty Slay is an American stand-up comedian who grew up in a mobile home neighboring Opelika, Alabama. He rose in a low-income family, loving both classic rock and hard-core country. He worked waiting tables and selling pesticides before becoming an observational comedian. Slay’s signature appearance is kitted with the trucker hat, mustache, flannel shirt, oversized glasses, and mustache. According to him, his appearance is not an affection to cultivate any stage persona, but as the B-side of 1970-something Bob Seger single, It’s Just Slay.
Dusty Slay observes every experience deeply. Despite his observational nature, he has a personality where he rarely gets upset. Rather he enjoys it, and this is what he preaches to his fans. At the age of 36, Slay became the youngest comedian ever to perform at the legendary Grand Ole Opry Stage in Nashville. Slay was also tapped to host the CMA Festival’s Forever Country Stage.
