Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo Information
The Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo is a fan convention located in Chicago that is dedicated to television, movies, toys, video games, manga, anime, graphic novels, pop culture, and comics. It is occasionally shortened to C2E2. The inaugural event for the expo was held on April 16-18, 2010 at the McCormick Place in Chicago. The estimated audience for the inaugural show was between 20,000 and 30,000. The convention also included dozens of amateur and professional comic book artists. The convention featured the actual props from the original Iron Man movie as well.
The second Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo took place on March 18-20, 2011. This season included Chris Hemsworth, who played Thor. Other guests who also appeared on the expo included Mark Sheppard (Supernatural), Laurie Holden, and Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead), Eliza Dushku (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Dollhouse).
The third Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo was held on April 13-15, 2012. The expo hosted around 41,000 attendees. This season includes the appearances of John Barrowman (Doctor Who and Torchwood), Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings), Steven Yeun and Lauren Cohan (The Walking Dead). The Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo takes place nearly every year. So far other entertainment guests who have appeared at the expo include Alfie Allen, Allison Scagliotti Carlos Bernard, Crystal Reed, Louis Lombardi (Natalia Tena), Veronica Taylor, Ashley Eckstein, Brian Posehn, Lauren Bailey, Dave Bautista, Matthew Mercer, Breckin Meyer, Brandon Routh, Travis Willingham, and hundreds of others.
