Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Brian Bahe (he/him) is presently based in Los Angeles by way of New York City. He is Indigenous (enrolled member of the Tohono O'odham Nation, Hopi, Navajo) and a comedian and writer. In 2022, he debuted Just For Laughs as a New Face. The FOX show "The Great North" employs him as a writer. He just recorded an episode of "Stand-Up Featuring" for Comedy Central.
On Broadway, he performed at Caroline's. The Blacklist, the Sundance Institute, and IllumiNative joined up to create the 2022 Indigenous List, and his animated comedy pilot, "Decolonize," made the cut. A piece of his writing was published in McSweeney's. Many media outlets profiled him, including NPR, Vulture, and the LA Times. Among the "25 Native American Comedians to Follow in 2020," he was included on IllumiNative's list.
The book We Had a Little Real Estate Problem: The Unheralded Story of Native Americans & Comedy included a chapter about him. At UCB Franklin, he hosts a monthly stand-up performance called "Star Fuckers: Astrology But Make It Comedy." He toured New York and Los Angeles with his one-person stand-up act "Reading From My Phone."
