Boucar Diouf Information
Boucar Diouf (May 26, 1965) is a Canadian oceanographer, comedian, storyteller, columnist, biologist, and Quebec television host. He was born in the Republic of Senegal, but in 1991, Diouf arrived in Quebec in Rimouski to do his graduate studies. He completed his graduate and undergraduate studies in biology at the Cheikh-Anta-Diop University in Dakar and his doctorate in Oceanography at the University of Quebec at Rimouski.
Diouf regularly deals with issues of integration and life in Africa as well as cultural differences. He taught biology at the University of Quebec in Rimouski and improved the practical teaching methods of animal physiology. Diouf designed humorous capsules that he called “Boucardises” for his students while teaching because he found some of the lessons were considered difficult for the students. Revitalizing the studies in this way seemed to make the lessons easier for his students.
Diouf eventually left everything and pursued his career as a radio host, columnist, and comedian. As a comedian, he has appeared on the notable show named “For an X or Y Reason.” He also has several publications by his name, such as The Browning of White Whales (March 2020), For the Love of my Mother – And to Thank the Mothers (2019), and Learning on the Job: the Biology of Dung and Other Digestion Residues (2018).
