Robert Michael Slayton (May 25, 1955) is an American stand-up comedian and actor. He was born in Scarsdale, New York. He has been a guest on various radio programs around the country, including Howard Stern, Kevin and Bean, Tom Leykis, and Dave, Shelly, and Chainsaw. In 1998's The Rat Pack, he portrayed Joey Bishop; in 2003's The Mind of the Married Man, he portrayed "Slayton."
In 2013, he had a guest appearance on "Maron" on IFC as himself. Slayton also played a TV comic in Ed Wood, directed by Tim Burton, and a casino manager in Get Shorty, who begged "Chili Palmer," aka John Travolta, to help find a late-paying casino player. Slayton speaks with a peculiar grit in his voice. The animated series Family Guy and Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist, featured his voice work. He has made numerous TV appearances, notably on The Tonight Show and Politically Incorrect, as well as on Comic Relief and in his own HBO stand-up special.
