Bob Zany Information
Bob Zany (September 11, 1961) is an American actor and stand-up comedian. He is known for performing on stage with his trademark cigar. Zany appeared as a contestant on The Gong Show in 1976. He appears as an occasional guest on the national radio program, The Bob & Tom Show. The show features a dedicated segment for Zany called, The Zany Report. He has also played his part as a guest-host for some portions of Jerry Lewis’ Labor Day Telethon.
Zany had also played a small role in the film entitled Joe Dirt. He appeared as the guy at the radio station who pushed down Joe at the film’s beginning. Zany appeared on the Comedy Central special called, The Friends of the Bob and Tom Show on September 16, 2006. He made an appearance on Last Comic Standing in June 2007. He toured Israel with the Comedy for Koby show in June 2010, hosted by Mandell Foundation. Zany performed in Gush Etzion, Modi’in, Haifa, Beit Shemesh, Raanana, Tel Aviv, and Jerusalem.
Zany has appeared in many films throughout his career, including Up Your Alley (1989), Repossessed (1990), The Adventures of Babyman (1992), I Crave Rock & Roll (1996), Joe Dirt (2001), The Informant (2009), and 23 Minutes to Sunrise (2012).
