BenDeLaCreme is the persona on stage for Benjamin Putnam, an American actor, burlesque performer, and drag queen based in Seattle, Washington. She is also known for being a contestant on RuPaul’s Drag Race during its sixth season and RuPaul’s Drag Race: All-Stars during its third season.
BenDeLaCreme is also known for her hit solo shows such as Ready To Be Committed, Cosmos, Inferno A-Go-Go, and Terminally Delightful. She has been a co-creator and a host of burlesque revues entitled “Freedom Fantasia” and “Homo for the Holidays.”
Putnam originally began his professional career back in 2002 when he was pursuing a degree at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His course study’s primary focus was painting, though he found himself more interested in performance arts. As a drag queen, he received his first opportunity to perform in drag at Chicago-area gay bars. BenDeLaCreme has been based in Seattle, Washington, since the mid-2000s. She has also appeared in several films throughout her career, including “Drag Becomes Her” (2014), Waxie Moon in Fallen Jewel (2015), and Trixie Mattel: Moving Parts (2019).
BenDeLaCreme has also appeared on many television shows. Her notable appearances in different web series include Capitol Hill (2014), Transformations (2014), Ring My Bell (2014), Whatcha Packin (2018), and How To Makeup (2018). As a featured artist, she was invited to work on The Nativity Twist in 2016 and Drag Your Life in 2018. BenDeLaCreme was also nominated for the Drag Royalty by The Queerties in 2020.
