Arthur Steven Lange Jr. (October 11, 1967) is an American actor and a stand-up comedian who is well known widely for his role in The Howard Stern Show and the comedy series Mad Tv. He was born in Livingston, New Jersey, and is the son of Judy and Arthur Lange Sr. He attended Union High School and was later admitted to Seton Hall University.
Artie Lang performed his first-ever stand-up comedy at The Improv in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan, at the age of nineteen. He later performed at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York, where he became a regular paid-member for the first time in 1992. At the age of twenty-seven, Artie Lang was chosen as one of the eight cast members to star in comedy series Mad TV. He claimed his first major acting role for a film titled 'Puppet' in the summer of 1996.
The films in which Lang performed stand-up comedy are; It's the Whiskey talkin' (2004), Artie Lang: Jack and Coke (2009), and The Stench of Failure (2014). His feature films include; Dirty Work (1998), Mystery Men (1999), Mail Order Bride (2003), and Waltzing Anna (2005). Lang also did some radio shows such as The Howard Stern Show (2001-2009) and The Artie Lange Show (2011-2014).
