Aries Spears Information
Aries Spears ( April 3, 1975) is an American stand-up performer, mimic, and actor from New Jersey, although born in Chicago, Illinois. Spears was the second longest-serving cast member on Fox's sketch comedy series MADtv, behind Michael McDonald, with 198 episodes appearing as a regular. His 2011 special Aries Spears: Hollywood, Look I'm Smiling was a huge hit. In 2018, he co-hosted the AVN Awards.
Before appearing on It's Showtime at the Apollo (1987), Spears made her television debut on Russell Simmons's Def Comedy Jam (1987). Following his 1992 relocation to Los Angeles, he secured a recurring part on A Different World (1993). He established himself as a fixture at The Comedy Store, The Improv, and The Laugh Factory.
Spears appeared in Mind of Mencia's second season episode that mocked Jamie Foxx's part in the music video for "Gold Digger" by Kanye West. Hood of Horror (2006) featured him. Spears provided her voice for Wizard Kelly in the animated series The Proud Family and appeared in the TV series The Underground.
Spears played the role of Shaquille O'Neal in two episodes of Frank TV, the sketch comedy show hosted by Frank Caliendo. He appeared on the 2009 All-Star Comedy Jam with Cedric the Entertainer and other comedians.
On Showtime, you may see his stand-up special "Aries Spears: Hollywood, Look I'm Smiling" from 2011.*required source* Deadline Hollywood reports that in 2020, Spears was set to star with Franco Nero, Sherilyn Fenn, Paul Rodriguez, and Jeff DuJardin in Vladislav Kozlov's The Immortalist, a dark comedy feature film.
