WWE Supershow Information
The professional wrestling event, the WWE Super Show, is organized by WWE, an American organization. It airs live on PPV and the WWE Network, the company's subscription-based streaming service. The 2020 gathering was the final one that would carry the name, and plans for the 2021 gathering were canceled. Nothing further has been planned under that banner since then.
In June 2018, it was revealed that the American professional wrestling organization WWE would be coming to Australia to stage a pay-per-view (PPV) and WWE Network events. The Super Show was held on October 6, 2018. The event took place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, Victoria. WWE had previously hosted tours in Australia; however, the Global Warning Tour in 2000 was the last major event WWE held in the nation.
To further promote Saudi Arabia's economic and social development program, Saudi Vision 2030, WWE signed a 10-year strategic multiplatform relationship with the General Sports Authority in early 2018. On April 27, 2018, King Abdullah Sports City's King Abdullah International Stadium in Jeddah hosted the first PPV and WWE Network event under this relationship with the Greatest Royal Rumble. Super ShowDown 2019 was the second Super ShowDown event in the series and the third event WWE has conducted under this agreement.
Although WWE revealed its original PPV schedule 2022 in November, it did not include the Super Showdown or any other events in Saudi Arabia.
