Maui Invitational Information

A preseason collegiate basketball tournament, the Maui Invitational (formerly known as the Maui Jim Maui Invitational) is held annually during the week before Thanksgiving in Lahaina, Hawaii, at the Lahaina Civic Center on the island of Maui. Chaminade University of Honolulu, a Division II institution, hosts the event. Eight men's basketball teams from the highest NCAA competition competed in Maui. Since 1984, ESPN has broadcast the Maui Invitational.

For the next 2020 Tournament alone, Camping World served as the official title sponsor. After being sponsored by EA Sports for 14 years, Maui Jim took over as title sponsor in 2015 and did so again in 2021. The 2020 and 2021 tournaments have been relocated to the continental United States. The Asheville Civic Center in Asheville, North Carolina, hosted the event in 2020, while the Michelob Ultra Arena on the Las Vegas Strip played host in 2021.

The city was almost destroyed in a fire on September 15, 2023. Thus, the tournament was moved to Oahu, where it will be played in the Stan Sheriff Center on the University of Hawai'i's campus from November 20 to 22, 2023.
