Tone Bell Information
Michael Anthony Bell II (August 10, 1983) is an American stand-up comedian and actor. He is professionally known as Tone Bell and was born in Decatur, Georgia. Bell used to teach first grade before getting into the production of Warm Springs by HBO and began doing various promo work. He also took a job in San Francisco as a brand manager for a year with Swivel Media but later moved back to Atlanta. He started doing promotion work for a beer company, then was transferred to Dallas and began to do open-mics at different comedy clubs.
Bell won the NBC Stand Up For Diversity Talent Search shortly after moving to Los Angeles in 2012. He was also awarded a development deal from the network. Bell was hired as “RJ” the bartender in the NBC sitcom series Whitney, and later as “Tedward” in another NBC series, Bad Judge. He has appeared in many other hit television shows, including Mind of a Man (Game Show Network), Key and Peele (Comedy Central), Mean It with Whitney Cummings, E!’s Love You, and Single Ladies (VH1).
Bell has a web series on Russell Simmons’ YouTube channel All Def Digital. He called the series The Green Room. He has also been featured in several notable films, including Dog Days (2018), The Weekend (2018), It’s A Party (2018), Little (2019), Sylvie’s Love (2020), The United States vs. Billie Holiday (2021), and Tom and Jerry (2021).
