Tommy Guerrero (September 9, 1966) is an American professional skateboarder, composer, and musician. He was born in San Francisco, California. He was one of the prominent members of the Bones Brigade, Powell Peralta’s professional skateboarding team in his teenage years. Guerrero was best-known for his street skateboarding due to his relaxed style. After accumulating much success in the field of skateboarding, Guerrero decided to pursue music. He was also in a skate rock band called Free Beer at the time. He was also playing in the instrumental post-rock group called Jet Black Crayon.
A skateboarding video game named, Skate has also featured many unreleased compositions that were written and recorded by Guerrero. In 2005, one of his songs entitled “Organism” was featured in the video game Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland. He released his debut album in 1998 entitled Loose Grooves & Bastard Blues.
Guerrero has released several albums in his music career, including A Little Bit of Something’ (2000), Soul Food Taqueria (2003), From the soil to the Soul (2006), Return to the Bastard (2008), Lifeboats & Follies (2011), No Man’s Land (2012), The Composer Series – Vol 4, Perpetual (2015), Road to Knowhere (2018), Dub Session (2019), and Sunshine Radio (2021). His notable singles include “Gettin’ It Together,” “Rusty Gears Lonely Years.” “Junk Collection” and “Backintheday.”
