Tasha Cobbs Leonard Information
Natasha Tameika “Tasha” Cobbs-Leonard (July 7, 1981) is an American gospel songwriter and musician. She was born in Jesup, Georgia. She started to lead worship at Jesup New Ministries, which her father founded. Cobbs-Leonard was diagnosed with depression back in 2007 that she revealed in 2016. Cobbs-Leonard started touring America in 2006 with Pastor William H. Murphy III. The tour continued for three years. She has been managing the Worship and Arts department and leading worship at the dReam Center since then. Cobb-Leonard also appeared in the film, Sinners Wanted in 2018.
In 2010, Cobbs-Leonard began her solo career and self-released an independent album entitled Smile. EMI Gospel discovered her through the album and released her EP on February 5, 2013, Grace. The EP reached two Billboard charts, including number 2 on the Top Gospel Albums chart and 61 on the Billboard 200. It later reached number 1 on the Top Gospel Albums chart. Her singles “For Your Glory” and “Break Every Chain” peaked at number 1 on the Hot Gospel Songs charts.
Other albums released by Cobbs-Leonard include One Place: Live (August 21, 2015), Heart. Passion. Pursuit (August 25, 2017), Heart. Passion. Pursuit.: Live at Passion City Church (November 2, 2018), Smile (Live) (November 22, 2019), and Royalty (Live at the Ryman) (2020).
