Sherri Shepherd Information
Sherri Evonne Shepherd (April 22, 1967) is an American actor, entertainer, author, radio host, podcaster, and TV host born in Chicago, Illinois. Sherri, a syndicated daytime chat program, is now hosted by her. Shepherd won a Daytime Emmy in 2009 and got several nominations as co-host of The View, a daytime talk program, from 2007 to 2014.
From 2019 to December 2022, she presided over Dish Nation; in her last months, she presented a limited number of programs because of her talk show. Her other television credits include guest appearances on The Jamie Foxx Show (1999–2001), Less than Perfect (2002–2006), Sherri (2009), Trial & Error (2017), and Mr. Iglesias (2019–2020).
She wrote Permission Slips: A Woman's Manual for Self-Care and Published It in 2009. The 2012 season of Dancing with the Stars, a reality competition show, had her as a contestant. Shepherd hosted the game show Best Ever Trivia Show, had recurring roles on 30 Rock and The Sex Lives of College Girls, and played Angie Jordan on 30 Rock.
While the show's namesake, Wendy Williams, was out with a medical condition for an extended period (October 2021–June 2022), Shepherd was a regular guest host on the syndicated daytime talk show. Sherri, Shepherd's new talk show that debuted in the 2022–23 TV season as Wendy's replacement, was announced by the show's distributor Debmar–Mercury on February 22, 2022.
