Sarah Jarosz Information
Sarah Jarosz (May 23, 1991) is an American singer and songwriter born in Austin, Texas. Her first studio album, song Up in Her Head, came out in 2009, and the track "Mansinneedof" was up for Best Country Instrumental Performance at the Grammys. At the 2012 Americana Music Association Honors and Awards, her 2011 sophomore album Follow Me Down was nominated for Song of the Year.
Sugar Hill Records released her third album, Build Me Up from Bones, on September 24, 2013. At the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, the album Build Me Up from Bones was up for Best Folk Album, while the title tune was nominated for Best American Roots Song. Her fourth studio album, Undercurrent, came out on June 17, 2016. The album and the single "House of Mercy" took home Grammys for Best Folk Album and Best American Roots Performance, respectively, in the 2017 ceremony.
World on the Ground, Jarosz's fifth studio album, was released in 2020 and marked her return to her solo career. Eleven months later, Blue Heron Suite, her sixth studio album, was released. The original composition and recording of the long-ago set occurred between 2017 and 2018. The official music video for Jarosz's "Jealous Moon" (from the album Polaroid Lovers, which came out on January 26, 2024) was dropped on September 7, 2023. The album's second single, "Columbus & 89th, " was released on October 10.
