Patrizio Buanne (September 20, 1978) is an Italian-American producer, baritone singer, and songwriter. He was born in Vienna, Austria. He developed a love for languages at a young age. At the Universities of Vienna and Rome, he studied Slavic and Latin. He is fluent in Neapolitan, Italian, German, English, French, and Spanish. He also speaks Polish. His parents used to copy traditional Italian and Neapolitan songs from vinyl onto cassettes to play for diners at his father's restaurant.
Between 11 and 17, Buanne competed in and won several talent competitions, which led to minor musical productions and engagements with his self-formed 1950s rock and roll band and as a solo artist. When he was 17 years old, a manager in the music business suggested a performance during the Papal visit to Wroclaw, Poland. With 85,000 people in attendance, the song—created for the opening mass—was performed in Italian and Polish. The exposure caused him to release his debut album, Angelo di Dio, in 1997. Tragically, it also happened to be the year his father passed away. As a result of the intense grief that followed, Patrizio came dangerously close to dying from a ruptured ulcer.
