Neha Kakkar Information
Neha Kakkar (June 6, 1988) is an Indian singer from Rishikesh, UttarPradesh, now in Uttarakhand. She is the younger sister of singer-composer Tony Kakkar and playback singer Sonu Kakkar. Her early childhood faced many financial crises before her family moved to Delhi to try her luck at singing. At the age of four, Neha started to perform at religious events and local gatherings along with her siblings. From 4 to 16 years, she only sang bhajans attending four to five jagrans in a day. Neha and her brother moved to Mumbai in 2004.
Neha auditioned for the second season of Indian Idol in 2006 at the age of 16 though she got eliminated early. She began her career with brother Tony as a playback singer. Neha's debut album came out in 2008 entitled Neha The Rockstar with music by Meet Bros. During the same time; she recorded for a music album entitled Romeo Juliet, which was composed by her brother.
Some of her other notable discographies include "Second Hand Jawani" – Cocktail (2012), "Sunny Sunny" – Yaariyan (2014), "London Thumakda" – Queen (2014), "Kar Gayi Chull" – Kapoor & Sons (2016), "Kala Chashma" – Baar Baar Dekho (2016), "Lamborghini;- "Jai Mummy Di" (2020), and many others. She also appeared in many Indian films such as Isi Life Mein...!, Tum Bin II, and Jai Mummy Di. As for television series, Neha was featured in Indian Idol – Season 2, Jo Jeeta Wohi Super Star – Season 1, Comedy Classes, Comedy Nights Live, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs 2017, Super Dancer, The Kapil Sharma Show, and a few more.
Neha is the winner of the 4th PTC Punjabi Music Awards 2017, Zee Rishtey Awards 2017, 15th Mirchi Music Awards 2020, and was nominated for a few others.
