Nasreen Qadri (September 2, 1986) is an Arab-Israeli singer known as Nasrin Kadri. Her music is more towards traditional and pop Middle Eastern. She also gives a touch of Mizrahi music. Qadri was a Muslim who converted to Judaism recently. Qadri was born in Haifa, Israel, and her childhood was spent in Lod. She was born to Muslim Arab-Israeli parents.
Nasreen Qadri mostly sings in Hebrew. She is also known for performing Arabic songs. The songs of Umm Kulthum are the most popular among others. She released her debut album in 2014. Before that, in 2011, Qadri won the television star search program named Eyal Golan Is Calling You.
In 2017, Nasreen Qadri received an invitation from Israeli culture minister Miri Regev. He wanted her to perform at the Sultan's Pool in Jerusalem. It is a ceremony marking Yom HaZikaron, commonly known as Israeli Memorial Day. In July of the same year, Qadri proudly shared the stage with Radiohead. The band was touring Israel at that time.
On September 4, 2018, Qadri released another hit album entitled Learning to Walk. That same year, "Goral Ehad" by Ofra Haza, a popular song, was re-recorded by Qadri. This song was meant to be in an album that honored Ofra Haza. "Yishma-HaEl '' was the follow-up song by Nasreen Qadri that came out on January 28, 2019. The song is about the difficult period she underwent when her conversion was happening.
Qadri was honored to be one of the judges on The Voice Israel, the fifth season in 2019. In 2020, Qadri delivered a stunning performance at the central 72nd Israel Independence Day ceremonies. The event took place on Mount Herzl.
