Lisa Loeb is an American actress, author, musician, singer, and songwriter. She was born in Bethesda, Maryland. She began her career with the number one hit song "Stay (I Missed You)" from the film Reality Bites, which was the first number-one single for a non-recording artist. Her studio albums include two gold-certified albums, Tails and Firecracker, released back-to-back. Loeb's film, television, and voice-over credits include cameo appearances in the season finale of Gossip Girl and two episodes of Netflix's Fuller House, including the series finale.
Dweezil & Lisa on the Food Network had Loeb co-starred with Dweezil Zappa and Number 1 Single on E! were two other television series in which Loeb appeared. House on Haunted Hill, Hot Tub Time Machine 2, Fright Night, and Helicopter Mom are her other credits.
Loeb also owns an eyeglass brand and founded a non-profit that sends underserved children to a summer camp sponsored by Loeb's own organic and fair trade coffee, Wake Up! Brew. She also collaborated with Doug Peterson on a crossword puzzle for The New York Times, published on June 6, 2017.
Loeb has written and recorded music for children and her album Feel What U Feel won Best Children's Album at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards in 2016. In February 2020, Loeb published his most recent album, A Simple Trick to Happiness.
