The Spanish singer and songwriter Leroy Sanchez was born in Abetxuko, Vitoria, Spain. He learned to play the guitar all by himself. Sanchez began posting cover songs to YouTube at the age of fifteen, and today his videos have over 600 million views and over 4.35 million subscribers. Sanchez met producer Jim Jonsin in 2010 and moved to Miami because of their friendship. For the time being, Sanchez calls Los Angeles, California home.
The Premios Juventud and Teen Choice Awards considered him for nominations that year. Sanchez is a free-agent musician. From January to March of 2017, he led his first worldwide tour, The Man of the Year Tour, and from September to November of the same year, he led his Elevated Tour. On August 4, 2017, Sanchez unveiled his first extended play, Elevated. "It Ain't Christmas Without You" is a holiday single he also put out.
Sanchez's cover of Adele's "Hello" has received more than 54 million views, making it the most popular video on his channel. His 2018 song, "Preacher," is his first offering to the public. His debut Spanish song, "Miedo," was released in 2020 after Preacher, alongside an official acoustic rendition. His holiday EP, The Greatest Gift, came out on November 11, 2020. For the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest, he collaborated with Blas Cantó, Dangelo, and Dan Hammond to write "Voy a quedarme," which Blas Cantó performed to represent Spain. This was followed by the publication of "I'll Stay," an English translation of the song.
