Kerry Coddett Information
A writer, actress, and stand-up comedian of Caribbean descent from Brooklyn, Kerry Coddett is now the co-executive producer, showrunner, and head writer of the upcoming Untitled Yvonne Orji Stand-Up Special on HBO. In addition to being a story editor for Flatbush Misdemeanors on Showtime, Coddett frequently makes appearances as a guest star. In addition to being a regular cast member of The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show on Netflix, Coddett has also appeared on the shows Desus & Mero on Showtime, Pause w/ Sam Jay on HBO, and Ramy, season 2 on Hulu.
She worked as a staff writer for Wyatt Cenac's Problem Areas earlier, created by John Oliver and broadcast on HBO. Additionally, Coddett can be seen on the following programs: BET's The Rundown with Robin Thede, Comedy Central's The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, HBO's Crashing, TruTV's Laff Mobb's Laff Tracks, and Comedy Knockout.
The Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival, the New York Comedy Festival, the Laughing Skull Festival, the Women In Comedy Festival, and the Brooklyn Comedy Festival have all chosen Coddett to perform. Coddett made history in 2017 when she won the Caroline's on Broadway Comedy Madness Competition, becoming the first female stand-up comic to do so. She has appeared on The Young Turks as a guest co-host and is the host of her podcast, On the Chopping Block.
