Joseph Fonseca (May 29, 1979) is a Puerto Rican artist. From a young age, Fonseca was fascinated by music. He made his first experiment at the age of twelve, writing a song that he could translate into 500 copies and sell to his family and closest friends. As a result, he realized a desire he had had since he was five years old.
To do so, he had the backing of his parents, who saw in his desire to be a singer a talent that would enable him to begin the profession he had always desired. As a result, Fonseca enrolled in various educational institutions, including Bogotá's Javeriana University and Boston's Berklee College of Music, where he learned skills that helped him stand out in a crowded and competitive artistic field.
After joining los Sabrosos del Merengue, Fonseca became immersed in the local scene. He has sung and danced with the band for five years before deciding to take the first step toward becoming a solo artist and quitting the band to be replaced by Manny Manuelle. Joseph Fonseca recorded his debut album, Noches de Fantasia, for Karen Music in 2000, which included the smash single "Jardn Prohibido."
