He was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, and studied audio engineering with Noah Zamudio at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. He gave a world-class performance on Shaggy's 2007 album Intoxication on the track "Mad Mad World." in the year 2004, Collie Buddz came out with his greatest radio success called “Mamacita.” With the help of this album Collie Buddz was able to sell approximate 4 million copies thanks to the single.
In the year 2008, Collie Buddz performed his song “SOS” on WWE The Music, Vol. 8, as the entrance theme for wrestler Kofi Kingston. He has also made an appearance on the remix of Kid Cudi’s single “Day n Nite” in the year 2009. His nickname is derived from the slang name used for referring Cannabis and has done photoshoots utilizing the device that is used for the consumption of cannabis. He has also made his record label called “Harper Digital.”
