Christopher Porterfield is a musician from the United States who composes songs, plays the guitar, and sings. Currently, he serves as the frontman for the folk band Field Report. In high school, Porterfield helped create the band Dinner With Greg, who began his career in the music industry. Additionally, he has a history of playing with the band DeYarmond Edison, which Justin Vernon of Bon Iver fronted.
He received a degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire after completing his education at Mayo High School in Rochester, Minnesota, and the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire. He has an older brother named Tim, who attended and graduated from Viterbo University in Wisconsin and played college basketball.
