Atif Aslam (March 12, 1983) is a singer, songwriter, composer, actor, and producer. He was born in Pakistan. Atif is well-known for his vocal belting technique. He is one of the most popular singers who recorded several songs in Pakistan and India.
Although he is most known for his Urdu recordings, Atif Aslam also makes recordings in Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, and Pashto. He was awarded Pakistan's fourth-highest civilian accolade, the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz 2008. In addition, he has won multiple Lux Style Awards.
Aslam first appeared on screen in the 2011 Urdu social drama film Bol. After being nominated for best vocalist in Pakistan in 2019, he was honored with a star on the Dubai Walk of Fame. In addition, Forbes Asia's 100 Digital Stars issue (December 2020) profiled him. "Aadeez" is his nickname for his devoted followers.
On February 26, 2021, Atif set the poem "Raat" by Munir Niazi to music. A homage to Musarrat Nazir, "Chale To Kat Hi Jayega," aired on March 19, 2021, and within three days, it had received 14 million views.
Atif Aslam made history on April 22, 2022, when he performed in London's O2 Arena to promote love, peace, and harmony between Pakistan and India. Aslam's set lasted for two and a half hours. The Manchester and Glasgow performances followed his London tour.
