Anthony Clemons Jr. (September 26, 1991) is an American singer and songwriter. He was born and raised in Willingboro, New Jersey. His musical taste was influenced by his parents playing Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, and The Notorious B.I.G. Clemons began to perform at birthday parties at four. He studied at Burlington County Institute of Technology when he became part of the youth choir at the Sharon Baptist Church. He also joined The Heritage Players and Showstoppers while at Willingboro High School. In 2009, Clemons also started taking an interest in songwriting.
Clemons started songwriting in 2016. He was working in Cherry Hill at Red Lobster. He flew to Los Angeles every two weeks to meet some producers and songwriters. He eventually met American producer Bongo ByTheWay, in January 2018. Together they recorded around eleven tracks. He also saw an increase in his fame after working with Kanye West.
In 2019, Clemons also worked with Beyonce and wrote: “Mood 4 Eva” for his soundtrack album entitled, The Lion King: The Gift. He was invited to the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards after working with Beyonce, Ty Dolla Sign, Boys Noize, Skrillex, Chance the Rapper, and Cordae. He released his debut album, Happy 2 Be Here, in March 2020. The album featured Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, and Ty Dolla Sign. His notable singles include “4 Letter Word”, “Excited,” “Beep,” “Freak,” and “Better Days.”
