Anirudh Ravichander (October 16, 1990), usually known as Anirudh, is an Indian composer and playback vocalist who works predominantly in Tamil movies. There are Hindi and Telugu films that include his soundtrack as well. Two Filmfare Awards South, nine SIIMA Awards, six Edison Awards, and five Vijay Awards are among the accolades that he has received.
Composed for the 2012 film 3, his debut single, "Why This Kolaveri Di," became an international sensation, with more than 450 million views on YouTube. He composed "Selfie Pulla" and other songs from the 2014 Vijay film Kaththi after A.R. Murugadoss contracted him. Before his 2019 contract to create music for Rajinikanth's Petta, the score for the film became Anirudh's most prominent soundtrack.
On the same date as the two-minute movie advertising video—February 3, 2023—the song "Bloody Sweet" was released. His most popular video to date has received 76 million views on YouTube. Jailer, directed by Nelson, was Rajinikanth's 169th film, and he also did the score. This is Anirudh's fourth film with Nelson following Doctor, Beast, and Kolamaavu Kokila, and his third with Rajini following Petta and Darbar.
