Andrew Peterson Information
Andrew Peterson (June 4, 1974) is an American Christian musician and author. Peterson plays folk-rock, country gospel music, and roots rock. He is known as one of the Square Peg Alliance founding members, a group of Christian songwriters. Throughout his successful career, Peterson has toured with Eric Peters, Ben Shive, Andy Gullahorn, Jill Phillips, Nichole Nordeman, Bebo Norman, Sara Groves, Michael Card, Fernando Ortega, and Caedmon’s Call.
Peterson began touring the United States with his wife and guitarist Gabe Scott in 1996. He signed his first record deal with Watershed/Essential Records. In 2000, Peterson released his first full-length album entitled “Carried Along.” It was listed in the Top 10 albums of the year by CCM Magazine. The album also featured the top ten radio single entitled “Nothing to Say.” On September 11, 2001, he released his second album entitled “Clear to Venus.”
Peterson has written and published several notable books as well. This includes The Ballad of Matthew’s Begats (2007), On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness: The Wingfeather Saga, Book One (2008), North! Or Be Eaten: The Wingfeather Saga Book Two (2009), The Monster in the Hollows: The Wingfeather Saga, Book Three (2011), and The Warden and the Wolf King: The Wingfeather Saga, Book Four (2014).
Andrew Peterson continued to work on taking his musical career to the next level, releasing several albums. Some of his notable discographies are Love and Thunder (2003), Behold the Lamb of God (2004), The Far Country (2005), and Appendix A: Bootlegs and B Sides (2006).
