After Circuit City shut down, Alex Ansel transitioned from selling TVs to appearing on TV in less than a year. He was a lifelong clown who spent his first ten years of life in Germany after being born in Texas. He subsequently spent his teenage years honing his game's high scores in various air-conditioned buildings. He was named KOOLAID in middle school because he was a nerd of Texas-sized proportions. He decided to keep it ever since, reasoning that there were worse nicknames to acquire. His attractiveness of Alex is greater than that of most since he is a fat man from a Hispanic city who dresses like a rapper, has two fathers who are wed to one another, and has family members who are in the military.
These experiences have helped Alex, aka KOOLAID, win his first comedy competition and earn the title of "Funniest Person in South Texas." The title has been won by the youngest comedian ever. Alex has been on CBS, NBC, and FOX affiliates in his hometown of San Antonio. At the Boston Comedy Festival, Alex performed and was named "Performer of the Year" by RAWartists in San Antonio. What does Alex want to achieve by doing all of this? to make people grin and say, "Oh Yeah," to live up to his namesake, KOOLAID. He recently received a special invitation to open The "Unspoken Word Tour" alongside WWE Hall of Fame Pro Wrestler Jake "The Snake" Roberts.
