Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace is part of the Drury Lane Theatres, a group of six theatres in the Chicago area. Tony DeSantis founded this group of theatres, and the playhouses were named after the historic Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace opened for the public in 1984 at Kingery Highway, Illinois Route 38 (Roosevelt Road), and Butterfield Road in Oakbrook Terrace. The venue presents a season of five shows on an annual basis.

Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace is one of the Chicagoland staples for over 50 years. Drury Lane Theatre and Events is well-known for providing an unforgettable experience for a variety of occasions. It is a world-class theatre production known for inviting audiences to encounter contemporary works, push the boundaries with reimagined classics, and embrace traditional productions. The Lucille Restaurant and the Lounge is popular for offering upscale fare with a contemporary influence.

The entire complex is 35,000+ square feet of flexible event space, offering a flawless blend of timeless sophistication paired with modern elegance. The other five theatres included in The Drury Lane Theatres are Drury Lane Evergreen Park, The original Drury Lane Water Tower Place, Drury Lane North, and Drury Lane East.
