Gerald Ford Amphitheatre is an open-air entertainment venue that is located in Vail, Colorado. It is a verdant, stunning area that offers a summer schedule full of live entertainment. This outdoor venue has a seating capacity of 2,565, and it is divided into lawn and pavilion seating offering a breathtaking view of the Rocky Mountains. The pavilion seats 1,265 guests and is further divided into four sections. There is also additional seating on its expansive grassy hillside. The venue was officially opened in June 1987. The 38th president Gerald R. Ford attended the amazing opening ceremony along with his wife and Bob Hope. Morter Architects designed the original building of the venue.

The Gerald Ford Amphitheatre plays host to a long array of cultural and entertainment events. This ranges from internationally renowned classical music and dance presentations to the Hot Summer Nights series’ weekly concerts.

Gerald Ford Amphitheatre hosts some big festivals, such as the Vail Dance Festival, the Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival, and many more. The theater also headlines concerts throughout the summer calendar. Currently, this entertainment spot is the home base for Bravo! Vail’s lineup.
