New World Stages is a famous five-theater chain, Off-Broadway performing arts complex located in New York's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood. Stage 4 is part of New World Stages. The venue opened for the public in 2004. Beyer, Blinder, and Belle do the architecture of the building. Stage 4 has a total seating capacity of 350. It is under the ownership of The Shubert Organization. The venue was originally built as a Loews Cineplex Entertainment multiplex cinema. It was closed from 2001 until 2004 for renovation purposes and re-opened as Dodger Stages. The chain was renamed New World Stages on March 16, 2006, after Stage Entertainment took ownership. The Shubert Organization has owned and operated the theater since November 17, 2014.
New World Stages is best known for being home to previous Broadway shows such as The 39 Steps, Million Dollar Quartet, Avenue Q, Peter and the Starcatcher, and Jersey Boys. According to the information taken from the Internet Off-Broadway Database, New World Stages - Stage 4 has been home to various Off-Broadway shows, ranging from a water-based puppet show to a zombie musical.
